Founded in 1996 through a creative partnership between Pratt Institute in New York City and The Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, DC, The Delaware College of Art and Design is an accredited institution whose mission is to educate talented and committed students to become art makers, idea generators, problem solvers, and visual communicators who can redefine the way we perceive and experience the world around us. It also serves as a visible stakeholder, cultural anchor and catalyst for the revitalization of downtown Wilmington.

Qualified graduates of the two-year Associate of Fine Arts Degree Program can apply to transfer to a four-year BFA degree at Pratt, the Corcoran, or other prestigious art and design schools across the country.
